Date: April 2020
Location: Cranston, RI
Role: Assistant Superintendent

A rapid resonse field hospital was built at the site of former Citizens Banks building on Sockanosset Cross Road in Cranston, Rhode Island. The surge hospital is meant to care for low-acuity COVID-19 positive patients.

The facility, has three wards and a total of 335 beds spanning a 123,000-square-foot building space, with potential to expand by another 200 to 300 beds if necessary.

Dimeo Construction transformed the former office space, which required the creation of a negative pressure environment for containment, copper tubing for oxygen lines to each of the pods, re-flooring plus a myriad other renovations, in the course of three weeks.
